    He was also known as L. D. Prescott. Lorenzo D. Prescott, appears as L. D. Prescott, age 3, in the census enumerated on 5 September 1850, Mukwanego, Waukesha Co., WI, in the household of Huldah Prescott. Lorenzo D. Prescott appears as Lorenzo Prescott, age 13, in the census enumerated on 30 July 1860, Lafayette Twp., Monroe Co., WI, in the household of Lyman Prescott. Lorenzo D. Prescott appears as Lorenzo Prescott, age 20, in the census enumerated on 3 July 1870, Lafayette Twp., Monroe Co., WI, in the household of Lyman Prescott. It seems to indicate that he was born in Vermont. He appears as head of household in the census of 8 June 1880 in New Lyme, Monroe Co., WI, with Elizabeth (--?--), Minnie Prescott, and Robert A. Prescott.57 He appears as head of household in the census of 14 June 1900 in Lafayette Twp., Monroe Co., WI, with Lyman Prescott, Elizabeth (--?--), and Bessie F. Prescott.58 His occupation is listed as a farmer.
    Elizabeth (--?--) was born circa 1853 in WI.
    Note that in the 1880 U.S. census Monroe County, Wisconsin, enumeration, both Elizabeth and Sarah M., wife of Edward H. Prescott, are listed as having a father born in Kentucky and a mother born in Ohio. The possibility that the two women were sisters must be considered. Elizabeth (--?--) appears as Elizabeth Prescott, age 27, in the census enumerated on 8 June 1880, New Lyme, Monroe Co., WI, in the household of Lorenzo D. Prescott as his wife.
    In the 1900 U.S. census enumeration of Monroe County, Wisconsin, Elizabeth states that she had four children, all of whom were living in 1900. A child, probably born shortly after the 1880 census enumeration, was not living in the family household in 1900. Elizabeth (--?--) appears as Elizabeth A. Prescott, age 26, in the census enumerated on 14 June 1900, Lafayette Twp., Monroe Co., WI, in the household of Lorenzo D. Prescott as his wife.
