Anderson, 88, 220 N. 14th St. died in Monmouth Community Memorial Hospital on Sunday at 12:18 p.m. She was born in Sumner Township, Warren County, on Dec 5, 1901. She was the daughter of Henry Charles and Fannie Elnora Young Parsons. She married Everett C. Anderson in Monmouth on Dec 25, 1927. He died on July 28, 1960. Surving are two daughters, Kay Anderson Brooks, Monmouth, and Judy Anderson Pilarski, Fort Wayne, IN; two sons, H. Quinn Anderson, Rockville, MD, and Dr. Jack R. Anderson, Columbia, MD; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She graduated from Monmouth High School in1920 and Monmouth College in 1924 with a bachelorÕs degree in English. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church, Monmouth. She was a past worth matron of Monmouth Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Monmouth; a 50 year member of MonmouthÕs longest running bridge club, and a member of Pi Phi Arrow Mothers Club. Funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Turnbull Funeral Home, Monmouth, with the Rev. James Epperson officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday and Wednesday until time of service; the family will be present Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. An Eastern Star service will be held Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Monmouth Cemetery. Memorials may be made to her church, the family said. | |
