Kirkpatrick and William A. Patterson, William Magee, and Lackin Garnett he and they are appointed appraisers to appraise in current money the slaves, if any, and person property of said decedent and report to the court. There were 10 slaves mentioned and an extensive list of personal property. The sale was May 21, 1857. Itdid not mention that the slaves were sold. A C. Kirkpatrick made several purchases. HARRISON COUNTY DEED BOOK 27. pp 157-158 Apr 2, 1858 GEORGE KIRKPATRICK HEIRS TO JAMES KENNEDY I won't type out the entire thing.......just mention it was transferring 235+acres to Kennedy. Heirs mentioned John Kirkpatrick and Harriet Cyrus Kirkpatrick and Mary June Oliver Perry Dills and Nancy William Bradley and Mahala William Patterson and Eliza Samuel Dills and Amanda Notice Margaret is not mentioned so has probably died previously Headstone reads: 'To George Kirkpatrick and Margaret, his wife, by their grateful children.' 'Their grandchild sleeps near them.' (On small stone) 'Little Jonny.' 'Aunt Mary,' Mary H. Kimbrough-Born Apr. 12, 1804; died -Mch. 5, 1888.
