He was present as one of the heirs at the probate of the estate of Samuel Prescott on 21 November 1837 Montpelier, Washington Co., VT. He was head of household on the census of 1840 in Waterbury, Washington Co., VT.10 He appears as Sherman Prescott, head of household in the census enumerated on 23 October 1850 in Waterbury, Washington Co., VT, with Judith Haseltine, Abigail Prescott, and Martha J. Prescott.11 He appears as head of household in the census of 20 July 1860 in Waterbury, Washington Co., VT, with Judith Haseltine, Abigail Prescott, Martha J. Prescott, Frank B. Hill, and Ella R. Hill.12 His occupation is listed as a farmer.
    Judith Haseltine was born 10 September 1800 in VT. She died 22 June 1879. She was buried in Waterbury Center Cemetery, Waterbury Center, Washington Co., VT . The stone reads "Judah// wife of// Sherborne Prescott// died// June 22, 1879// ae 78 yrs 9 mos// & 12 ds." She was also known as Judy Haseltine. Ella R. Hill was known to be the granddaughter of Judith Haseltine. Frank B. Hill was known to be the grandson of Judith Haseltine. Alfred E. Hill was known to be the grandson of Judith Haseltine. She is probably the female age 30-40 enumerated in the household of Sherburne Prescott in Waterbury, Washington Co., VT, in 1840.10 Judith Haseltine appears as Judith Prescott, age 50, in the census enumerated on 23 October 1850, Waterbury, Washington Co., VT, in the household of Sherburne Prescott. Judith Haseltine appears as Julia H. Prescott, age 59, in the census enumerated on 20 July 1860, Waterbury, Washington Co., VT, in the household of Sherburne Prescott. She appears as head of household in the census of 13 June 1870 in Waterbury, Washington Co., VT, with Frank B. Hill and Ella R. Hill.13 She was also known as Judah Prescott.
    Administration of the estate of Judith Haseltine was granted on 2 July 1879 Waterbury, Washington Co., VT. Her estate was settled on 22 February 1881 by decree of distribution. Her real estate appraised at $650 and personal estate appraised at $213.75 was divided between her two grandchildren Frank B. Hill and Ella R. Hill. These two were grantees of a third grandchild, Alfred E. Hill, the three being the sole heirs of Judah Prescott.
