    He was head of household on the census of 1840 in Waterbury, Washington Co., VT.16
    Eliza Ann Eaton was born 5 March 1812 in Corinth, VT, the daughter of Peter and --- (Pike) Eaton. Her age at death gives a birthdate of March 1812. Her birth was also listed as occurring circa 1815 in VT. She died 27 May 1874 in Waterbury, Washington Co., VT, cause of death: phthisis, age 62 years 2 months. She is listed as married. She was buried in Waterbury Center Cemetery, Waterbury Center, Washington Co., VT . Her stone reads "Elisa A.// wife of// David Prescott// died// May 27, 1874// ae 62 yrs." There was no evidence of a David Prescott tombstone near her. She is probably the female age 20-30 enumerated in the household of David Prescott in Waterbury, Washington Co., VT, in 1840.16 She appears as Eliza A. Prescott, age 45, head of family in the census enumerated on 23 July 1860 in Waterbury, Washington Co., VT, with Carlos Prescott.17 She appears as Eliza A. Prescott, age 58, in the household of S. and Phebe A. Donaldson in the census enumerated on 14 June 1870 in Waterbury, Washington Co., VT.18
